Non-Alcoholic Margarita Recipe FAQs

What is a non-alcoholic margarita made of?

Alcohol-free tequila, non-alcoholic triple sec and fresh lime juice, shaken with ice and served over ice or straight up, often with a salt rim.

What can I use instead of tequila in a margarita?

A non-alcoholic agave spirit such as Miss Agave gives the earthy agave character of tequila without the alcohol.

Do you need triple sec in a margarita?

Triple sec adds the orange depth that balances the lime. A non-alcoholic version such as Lady Marmalade keeps that layer in a zero-proof margarita.

Should a margarita have a salt rim?

It is optional, but a salt rim balances the tartness and is traditional. Rim only half the glass if you want the choice with each sip.
